Shaman of Bad Dürrenberg, Schamanin von Bad Dürrenberg Reenactment

This is my current full attire for my Shaman of Bad Dürrenberg reenactment. I also had the opportunity to be part of a historical documentary about the history of brewing beer.
Almost everything in my attire was made by myself. I tanned the leather and furs, and some of the animals were hunted by me as well. The bones are from foxes I hunted myself, although I did buy some of the leather.
A lot of my attire is inspired by the painting by Karol Schauer, who interpreted the burial and the objects that were found in the Shaman’s grave. Some parts are also my own interpretation. I still tried to include as much archaeological evidence as possible with the materials and knowledge available to me.
For example, I used the same kinds of feathers that were found around the antler mask, as well as lime bast, which was also found in the grave. I also included teeth and bones. My shaman staff, which is not visible here, has shells of the same kind as those found in the burial.
I hope you like my recreation and interpretation of this incredible Mesolithic woman.
